Hi. While at the Herkimer Homestead Day Celebration on October 4th, I was filmed using a spring pole lathe. My wife Barb was also there demonstrating scherenschnitte. I built the lathe several years ago and use it to demonstrate how Windsor chair legs could be turned using this primitive technology. It was fun to wear colonial garb and to teach children and adults about using a foot powered lathe. I’m wearing a red waistcoat (vest).
