I pride myself with being artistic and individualistic in my woodworking. Woodcarving is one of those things that can set a woodworker apart from the mainstream. In fact, I believe that learning to chip carve was one of the most productive things I ever did as a woodworker. While I haven’t been interested in carving elaborate geometric designs in plates, I have seen the awesome possibilities that come with using chip carving on panels, lid and corbels as part of furniture pieces. I hope that you might enjoy looking at the 18th century style toolchest that I built for my chair-making tools.
